Newly established in 2019, Revolutionary Roots is a genealogical research company. Our aim is to assist clients in uncovering their roots. Are you descended from a Mayflower passenger? A revolutionary war Patriot or Loyalist? How about an American Civil War soldier, Union or Confederate? If you are seeking to discover whether you descend from such ancestors, then we are the right company for you. We specialize primarily in American Revolutionary War ancestry and American Civil War ancestry, though other ancestors will almost certainly be discovered. If possible, we will also assist in locating potential Royal Gateway ancestors.

This company is owned and operated by Joel Hagenburg, M.A. Joel has been a genealogist for seven years and has earned his M.A. in History with a concentration in American history from Southern New Hampshire University. He also earned his B.S. in Criminal Justice from New England Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, RI Chapter.
